     BATTLE FOR A CURE II

     

      Muay Thai Niagara
will be hosting our annual
      Thai-Boxing event; 'Battle for a Cure II'

      A night of Thai-Boxing featuring MTN athletes
      as well as other athletes from the province.

      This is a fundraising event with 50% of the proceeds
      going to the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation
      in support of Cancer Research.

             The event will be held at:
             Governor Simcoe Secondary School
             15 Glenview Ave.
             St. Catharines, Ontario
             L2N 2Z7

             Doors: 6pm
             Fights start: 7pm

Thai-Boxing Coach of the year!

       Our 6 hr boot camp was a great success!
       This was our biggest and best turnout yet.
       It was a great day of training.

March 23, 2009

    

     After two weeks of intensive training at the WMC Muay Thai camp in

     Thailand, Muay Thai Niagara's James Coomber competed
     in a professional Thai boxing bout
vs Scotland's Stewart. 

     James WON the bout by KO in the 2nd round!

March 11-25, 2009

Muay Thai Niagara
took 9 athletes to Koh Samui, Thailand for
2 weeks of training at the WMC camp.

This has become an annual trip with growing participating every year.

February 22, 2009

Our 6 hour boot camp was a great success!

Everyone trained hard and had a good time as well.
A hot meal was enjoyed afterwards.

     Muay Thai Niagara is sad to announce that
     our good friend Tracy (pictured)
who spoke
     at our 2008 Battle for a Cure event passed
     away in December of cancer.


     Muay Thai Niagara will be taking donations
     at the club towards Tracy's childrens
education
     fund.


     All proceeds from the 2008 Battle for a Cure event
     went towards cancer research.


     Battle for a Cure will be an annual event with a
     2009 date announced shortly.



     
Our sympathies to Tracy's family at this difficult time.
